Contribute time to care for children and uplift families

RAMSEY CRISIS NURSERY

RCN benefits from caring individuals who currently contribute time through several committees. Volunteers meet with their committees and communicate as often as needed to complete their goals and the schedule and frequency of meetings will be determined by committees themselves. Most volunteer tasks are still being performed virtually via Zoom and Google Drive, so familiarity with these systems is required.

We have openings in the following committees:

  • Grants - Sourcing, organizing and crafting grant responses
  • General Fundraising - Creation and execution of all other fundraising tactics
  • Event Planning - Plans and implements RCN events to help reach our goals
  • Outreach - Reach out to the community and make connections to potential partners
  • Policy Writing (coming soon) - Help write policies to meet DHS guidelines

As we get closer to the full fruition of our vision, we will also have more hands-on positions available, including direct care, cooks, hospitality, cleaning, and many more. At that time, all on-site volunteers will undergo a DHS background study.

About RAMSEY CRISIS NURSERY

Location:

PO BOX 4541, SAINT PAUL, MN 55101, US

Mission Statement

The Ramsey Crisis Nursery exists to provide a temporary home away from home for children and supportive services to uplift and strengthen the entire family.

Description

As a nonprofit corporation, Ramsey Crisis Nursery will offer free, safe, holistic, and trauma-informed care to children in an overnight care facility. Parents/guardians will become a part of our support network, and be encouraged to care for themselves and/or receive services to overcome barriers or life stressors they may be facing such as housing instability, financial instability, inadequate childcare, domestic violence, etc. We will partner with other community services to make available the resources, care, and support that the family desires. We will create a safe home away from home for children in early childhood.
