We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper with knowledge of the QuickBooks Online accounting system who is interested in working 6-8 hours a month to enter accounting data and reconcile the bank statement. You would work with our Treasurer on monthly reports. Position includes free theatre tickets. Can work remotely or in our space in Chula Vista.

As a small, non-profit theatre with minimal staff, we strive to create and enjoyable work environment where love and support of the arts binds us together.

OnStage Playhouse - "Volunteers in Action" - An all-volunteer nonprofit 501c(3) organization producing professional live theatre for the community. We are the "only" live theatre stage in Chula Vista. We have been part of the downtown Chula Vista neighborhood for over 30 years.

Description

OnStage Playhouse, now in its 72nd year, opened its first production in 1946 in a school auditorium. Since 1980 we have operated a 66-seat storefront theatre in downtown Chula Vista. We are the only year-round theatre company in the five city region of Chula Vista, National City, Imperial Beach, Bonita and Spring Valley, an area of over 300,000 population.

Our regular season is six productions with 18 performances per show. Theatre seat tickets are kept at modest prices with annual subscriptions being the most cost-effective. . We present additional benefit performances and events which address important social issues and donate many tickets and revenue to worthy causes. We reach an audience of over 6,000.

We operate an Student Intern Program and Apprenticeship opportunities for high school students from the local area interested in management and theatre arts.

OnStage Playhouse is one of the oldest theatre companies in San Diego County to have operated continuously as a mostly volunteer company. We have established a climate that makes talented people want to work with us. We give gifted people a chance to strut their stuff and share their gifts.
