The Program Assistant (Volunteer) will work to support the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) Jail Based Services Program. The position will be based at the Adult Detention Center (ADC) and will assist a team of social workers and licensed counselors who provide treatment services to individuals in need of support related to homelessness, mental illness, and/or addiction.
This position requires a person with strong clerical and organizational skills as they are responsible for managing a variety of tasks including technology set up for client/clinician sessions, data gathering, and referral tracking. The volunteer in this role must have weekday availability during normal business hours. We are flexible in discussing a set schedule within that timeframe.
*The applicant should be comfortable in a correctional setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists with data gathering and tracking referrals.
- Assemble transition backpacks for client re-entry.
- Technology set-up and assistance for client/clinician sessions.
- Maintains all appropriate program logs, records, and information and assists with input of clinician notes.
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.).
This is an unpaid position.
