We are currently looking to place an AmeriCorps VIP Fellow to serve in CommuniCare’s volunteer program.
The AmeriCorps VIP Fellow serves 1700 hours over an 11 month term of service (August - June). Collaborating with the Volunteer and Engagement Coordinator to develop sustainable infrastructure for the volunteer program in a service minded organization. Our goal for the 2022-2023 VIP at CommuniCare will be to support the development of training for employees who supervise volunteers, among other projects.
VIP Fellows are valued members of the CommuniCare team and are provided with excellent training and support from AmeriCorps regional coordinator and staff.
Member Benefits:

Description
Established in 2023, CommuniCare+OLE is a union of two health centers with deep roots in their respective communities with reputations for providing high-quality primary care to patients and clients.: OLE Health of Napa and Solano Counties, and CommuniCare Health Centers of Yolo County.
Building on a legacy established by each organization in 1972, CommuniCare+OLE is a network of federally qualified health centers with 17 sites across Napa, Solano, and Yolo Counties. It offers comprehensive care, including medical, dental, behavioral health and substance use treatment, nutrition, optometry, pharmacy, care coordination, referrals, and enrollment assistance to more than 70,000 individuals, and no one is turned away due to lack of insurance, immigration status, or ability to pay. Many services are offered outside of its sites, including mobile health, home visiting, and community and school-based programs.
In October 2023, OLE Health of Napa and Solano and CommuniCare Health Centers of Yolo County announced a legally executed merger between the two organizations and unveiled their new brand: CommuniCare OLE. As a critical part of the healthcare safety net, CommuniCare OLE ensures care for everyone, regardless of ability to pay or insurance status.
CommuniCare+OLE’s services include Primary Care, Behavioral Health, Substance Use Services, Perinatal Care, Dental Care, Pediatrics, Sexual Health, Women’s Health, LGBTQIA+ Affirming Care, Diabetes Education and Food and Nutrition services.
