FOUNDATION OF ALLIES FOR BLACK AMERICANS

You would be responsible for collaborating with our marketing team and helping to set strategies for upcoming campaigns, call-to-action items, and infographics, creating videos & content, analyzing data across platforms. Knowledge of social media channels & platforms, including (but not limited to) Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, YouTube, Snapchat, and Google+. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working effectively and collaboratively with others. Entrepreneurial spirit with proven ability to self-manage. Must be Internet savvy and have a strong interest in social media. Must be comfortable using Excel, Google Docs, Powerpoint, MS Word. Minimum of three (3) month commitment.

  • .Conduct ongoing research projects on key industry trends and competitive insights
  • Even researching appropriate hashtags
  • Trends related to the niche of your brand/organization
  • Developing content/framework of posts to be uploaded for the foreseeable future.
  • You are replying to comments or providing the correct outlet for customers or your in-house team to respond to any customer grievances/reports.

Mission Statement

AFBA is a Black-led community created to provide a safe space for aspiring non-POC allies to build deeper connections with BIPOC by way of resources, anti-racism education and trauma informed care during the decolonization journey to eradicating systemic racism.

Description

Some objectives for the group include: Informing Black people of their rights within the law and how to exercise those, including what is and is not allowed by law enforcement, what the proper response is, and how to get restitution and/or disciplinary action following misconduct by law enforcement. Dispensing info and instructions for protesting, contacting lawmakers, lobbying, boycotting, and otherwise organizing and mobilizing to affect legal and changes to the system. Educating non-Black allies on how to educate other non-Blacks outside the group. This education will be provided by Admins and is not the responsibility of members of the group. The Black members in the group are not required to educate non-Black members and may tag an Admin if instruction is needed.
