Project MORE is hosting VAX with PRIDE on Saturday, May 22 from 9am to 4pm, for the Bay Area's first LGBTQ+ focused and affirming COVID-19 vaccination event inside the Aloha Roller Rink at Eastridge Mall in San Jose.

On Friday, May 21 from 1:00 pm to 4:00pm, we are seeking volunteers to help us assemble the wellness toolkits to distribute on Saturday. While outdoors, volunteers will unbox giveaway items, assemble reusable grocery bags with face coverings, sanitizer, health and support resources, and swag.

On Saturday, May 22 from 7:30am to 7:00p, we are seeking volunteers to help with set-up, toolkit distribution, assist guests with questions, and teardown. We have multiple shifts and you can sign-up for more than one.

  • 7:30-9:00am
  • 8:30-11:00am
  • 10:30am-1:00pm
  • 12:30-3:00pm
  • 2:30-5:00pm
  • 4:30-7:00pm (likely till 6 or 6:30pm)

During this volunteer opportunity, you will have a safe and rewarding experience that is welcoming to everyone. Volunteers will have their defined workspace.

Everyone's health and safety is important to us. All volunteers must observe all State and County health and safety guidelines and orders. This includes wearing a face covering, face mask or face shield, and to maintain 6 foot physical distancing. If you are feeling ill or experiencing symptoms, please cancel your participation and let us know as soon as possible.

COVID-19 Disclosure: This event directly supports community wellbeing during COVID-19. This is an essential community health service. All guests and volunteers must wear face coverings and adhere to safety protocols. This is an approved activity by the County of Santa Clara.
