This is the dispatch team behind the lovable Captain Delivery that match volunteers to recipients on the Invisible Hands App and help guide delivery volunteers through the process from claiming to completing a delivery. Get an inside look at our operating systems and learn the logistics of a non-profit while connecting with some amazing people!
We are a community-based non-profit organization comprised of volunteers delivering groceries, prescriptions, and other necessities to our at-risk neighbors. We’ve completed thousands of contactless deliveries to the elderly, disabled, and immunocompromised, connecting vetted, trained volunteers with our recipients while following CDC guidelines. We keep our communities safe, socially engaged, and well-nourished - all while physically distancing.

Description
Delivery apps like Postmates help restaurants deliver pizza to late-night partiers, so why can’t an app also help deliver food to the millions of families facing food insecurity every day?
Enter Invisible Hands, a volunteer-powered non-profit that has facilitated thousands of free deliveries to folks in need since the beginning of the pandemic. Its new, first-of-its-kind app matches volunteers with critical delivery requests, from a grocery run for a homebound senior to picking up food at a food bank in their own neighborhood. The new app for iPhone and Android allows Invisible Hands volunteers to claim deliveries on their own time and most importantly, connect with their neighbors to create some pretty surprising and beautiful friendships. Invisible Hands is also powered by remote volunteers who lend their time and talent behind-the-scenes with the Call Center and Dispatch Team to connect recipients to volunteers. - Must be at least 15
- Orientation or Training
- Captain Delivery is active from 9am-7pm Monday - Thursday, from 9am-5pm on Fridays, and from 11am-3pm on weekends. Once you have completed live training, you can sign up for shifts of two or four hours as fits your schedule, on an ongoing basis.
