Region 10 is a non-profit with a main office located in Montrose, Colorado. It serves many functions including the role of Area Agency on Aging for 6 counties along the western slope of Colorado.
Region 10's Retired and Senior Volunteer Program provides meaningful opportunities for persons’ age 55 and older to use their experience and skills to participate more fully in the life of their community through impactful volunteer service.
RSVP matches the varied interests and skills of volunteers aged 55 or greater with community needs. This is achieved by offering diverse volunteer service opportunities. Region 10 RSVP is invested in the AmeriCorps mission: to improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering.
The focus of the Region 10 RSVP is helping seniors in the communities served to allow them to maintain independence and live in their own home. There are struggling seniors that go unseen and unheard, which make up a critical group this program is committed to helping.
Volunteer opportunities with Region 10 RSVP include meal delivery, small home repair, handyman services, event assistance, addressing food insecurity, senior companionship, Medicare guidance, and more. No matter an individuals volunteer interests, Region 10 RSVP is committed to finding the right opportunity for all RSVP volunteers.

Mission Statement
Region 10's Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides meaningful opportunities for persons’ age 55 and older to use their life experience and skills to participate more fully in the life of their community through impactful volunteer service. Region 10 leverages resources to help build strong communities by providing senior services, small business services, and regional development support to Delta, Montrose, Hinsdale, Gunnison, Ouray, and San Miguel counties.
Description
Region 10 supports 18 communities in 6 counties in western Colorado. Since 1972, Region 10 has operated as a 501(C)3 nonprofit that is supported by local and county governments. The organization’s programs are supported by several State and Federal programs and funding sources.
