Are you a Military Veteran? Do you have a few hours each week to spend with a fellow Veteran on hospice?
If so, Harmony Cares Hospice formerly Grace Hospice is looking for you! At Harmony Cares Hospice, we understand and value the bond that Veterans have with each other. We realize that it is a unique bother/sisterhood that non-veterans are unlikely to fully understand.
Our Vet-to-Vet program places Veterans with Veteran Hospice patients to provide support, understanding and friendship during end-of-life care.
Hospice services are designed to provide comfort care as well as emotional support and spiritual support in the final phase of a terminal illness. Harmony Cares Hospice ensures that our Veteran patients will spend their final days of their journey in comfort, dignity and honor.
Veteran Volunteers receive training related to the core principles of hospice and our Veteran Volunteer services all in order to promote the best outcome for patient and Volunteer alike.

Description
Harmony Cares Hospice formerly Grace Hospice is seeking compassionate individuals who are willing to provide emotional support and companionship to our patients and their families experiencing Hospice. Volunteers are a vital part of the interdisciplinary team and truly are the heart of our organization. In addition to placing friendly visits, volunteers can also assist with bereavement support, caregiver relief (respite), running of errands, special event planning, veteran to veteran outreach, pet, reiki, music and massage therapies, office support - and more!

- U.S. Military Veteran. We service patients where they are located. Volunteer must be able to commute to patient's location. Drug screening, TB test, background check, COVID-19 vaccination or medical/religious waiver.
