POSITION TITLE: Garden Helper

PRINCIPAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tending the herb/vegetable garden on-site at High Prairie Library, to include tasks such as raking, hoeing, digging, planting, weeding, watering, mulching, harvesting, recording.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
* Preferably, volunteers will have some gardening experience, and be able to discern planted (desired) plants from weeds.
* Willing to work as a team with other volunteers and take direction from the staff at High Prairie and/or Fresh Start Center regarding the over-arching goals and practices for tending the garden.
* Willing to communicate via daily log about tasks completed, tasks to-do, etc.
* Willing to volunteer on a regular basis, preferably once per week on the same day and near the same time, either mid-morning or mid-afternoon.
* Families, scouts, other small groups welcome!

LOCATION: High Prairie Library, Peyton, Colorado

TIME COMMITMENT:
1-2 Hours On One Day Per Week
We are in partnership with Fresh Start Center to fill these positions. We are looking for six volunteers total, each one willing to come by one day per week (the same day each week) to tend the garden. For example, Monday mornings, or Thursday afternoons.
