I have a specific need for a dementia patient in a facility who is on hospice and really needs a friend. I would like to offer him a volunteer who will stay with him for a while and just talk or take him in his wheelchair around the facility. He's a very nice man. We believe that through appropriate care and the promotion of sensitivity to the needs of the patients and families, we can physically, mentally, and spiritually prepare for death in a way that is satisfactory to our patients.
