October 17, 2021 will be our 50th Annual Lawn Party, and we need your help to make it the best ever! Since 1901, the Little Sisters of the Poor have cared for the elderly right here in midtown Mobile. For half a century, the Lawn Party has served as the Little Sisters' main fundraising event with all proceeds benefiting Sacred Heart Residence's daily operating expenses. We're looking for volunteers to help us with the various carnival games, food, and beverage booths that make our Lawn Party such a great time for the whole family!
Here are the highlights:
What: Little Sisters of the Poor 50th Annual Lawn Party
When: October 17, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
We are looking for volunteers who can commit to working 2-hour shifts at one of our booths. After your shift, stay to enjoy the Lawn Party! Please sign up and indicate your booth preference and I'll reach out with additional information. We welcome groups looking for a service opportunity this Fall.

Mission Statement
The Little Sisters of the Poor are an international congregation of Roman Catholic women religious founded in 1839 by Saint Jeanne Jugan. Together with a diverse network of collaborators, we serve the elderly poor in over 30 countries around the world. Continuing the work of Saint Jeanne Jugan, our mission is to offer the neediest elderly of every race and religion a home where they will be welcomed as Christ, cared for as family, and accompanied with dignity until God calls them to himself.
Description
Since 1901 at the same location in Mobile, Alabama, we have worked hard to give compassionate care to elderly men and women of the Gulf Coast region who have outlived their resources. More than 4,000 people from all walks of life, of all religions and beliefs, have made their home with us in Mobile.
