Help build a bridge between STEM equity and access for high potential BIPOC youth!

CuriOdyssey is a serious science museum and zoo dedicated to providing early science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education through innovative programs, exhibits, and wildlife experiences. Our mission is to inspire a love for science and curiosity about the world to create a brighter future.

Our STEMCorps Mentor program is a strategic initiative of CuriOdyssey with the goal of empowering underrepresented youth to pursue STEM learning opportunities. Through informal, virtual mentoring sessions between youth and STEM professionals, STEMCorps strives to forge new pathways and inspiration to explore STEM-related learning for underrepresented youth. Developing future generations of diverse, science-fluent, critical thinkers is the key to our future as we face new, serious global challenges.

Meet virtually with your paired student two times each month, 4:30-5:15pm on a regularly scheduled weekday to listen and learn from each other’s experiences and provide academic support. A unique element of this program is that we send you and your student science activities to explore simultaneously online during many of your mentoring sessions to share your joy for science and discovery, and help drive discussion.

Application open June 1, 2022. See Get Involved: Volunteer section of CuriOdyssey website: www.CuriOdyssey.org. Video interview, references, and background clearance will also be required.
