Volunteering with Veggielution, you’re stepping up to the front lines of the environmentally-minded food movement. You’ll connect with your food system in the most tangible way possible and learn intimately where your food comes from and what it takes to grow it.
Whether farming is in your future or not, you’ll come away a much more informed community member able to participate in the San José food economy with your eyes wide open.
Volunteers will assist with a variety of farm tasks such as planting, harvesting, and weeding.

Mission Statement
Veggielution empowers youth and adults from diverse backgrounds to create a sustainable food system in San Jose. Our urban farm engages the community by providing access to healthy and local food, creating youth leadership opportunities, and developing creative solutions to social and environmental justice issues.
Description
Veggielution is a non-profit community farm dedicated to creating a more sustainable food system in San Jose. We empower people to change the way they think about food by getting their hands in the soil, connecting with the land, and tasting the fruits of their labor.
The Santa Clara Valley, its soil, ecosystem, and watershed are important resources for future generations. We will be a catalyst for food system change by providing local community with access to a unique open space, organic local food, educating people about sustainable farming, and engaging the community to advocate for policy change. We are uniquely equipped to bring people from different backgrounds together in a shared vision of a organic, local food system.
