Join the Global Gifts team to help support fair trade while gaining retail experience in the vibrant Short North Arts District in Columbus, Ohio! Global Gifts is a nonprofit fair trade retail marketplace. We sell artisan-made items from over 40 countries. Because everything in the store is fair trade certified, all artisans, farmers, and producers are guaranteed a living wage, safe working conditions, and more.
Global Gifts volunteers work alongside staff members to assist customers, check in new inventory, and learn about and share artisan stories with the community. Volunteers also receive a 15% discount on most items and a 30% discount on clothing. We also have a Volunteer Appreciation program which awards gift cards for completed shifts.
Our store practices social distancing guidelines by limiting customer occupancy to ten. We require masks and sanitize frequently.
All volunteers are asked to attend a Volunteer Orientation. Orientations are held monthly or can be arranged to fit your schedule. Email our Volunteer Coordinator at gina@globalgiftsft.com

Description
Global Gifts is a nonprofit organization with four fair trade store locations. We are supported by a small staff and a dedicated team of volunteers. At Global Gifts, products are fair trade and handmade, which means your contribution supports fair wages, gender equity, and safe and dignified working conditions. Volunteers will enjoy a fun retail working environment, learning artisan stories, and a 15% discount off purchases.
