The Friends of the Huntington Beach Public Library is looking for a creative, enthusiastic, self-starter to assist with publicity and communication efforts. The Publicity/Social Media Coordinator will work to build awareness and support for FOTL programs and activities in our community.
Responsibilities:
- Update social media platforms on a daily/weekly basis
- Coordinate with committee chairs on upcoming events and promotions to plan social media and marketing strategies
- Write press releases about specific projects and events to obtain local media coverage
- Design graphics for Facebook and Twitter (will have access to Canva)
- Provide support in sending mailings and invitations
- Write clearly, accurately and succinctly to promote FOTL to the media
- Excellent communication and organization skills; detail oriented
- Ability to prioritize and multitask to provide results quickly is a must
