Volunteer for Virtual Summer Reading Buddies. Make a difference in the life of a child this summer! Volunteer to provide literacy support for a child who has completed Kindergarten through third grade twice per week for 45 minutes. Volunteers can choose the days and times that best suits their schedules. Sessions are Mondays/Wednesdays and Tuesdays/Thursdays. Volunteers are paired with the same child for each session throughout the six week program. All training, lesson plans and materials are provided. Must be at least 14 years old and pass a background check.

Raising Readers provides training and support for volunteers and offer a variety of opportunities including one-time events and short and long-term time commitments. - Volunteers meet virtually with a child for 45 minutes twice a week for six weeks to prevent summer slide. Sessions are June 14 - July 29 with the week of July 4 off. Site Supervisors are in the virtual session to answer questions and help.
- Volunteers should be familiar with virtual platforms. Enjoy reading and working with children.
