Volunteering is a work of heart. I don't remember who said that but it's true. We are looking to give our patients this gift. We love our patients and want to give them all we can. If you would like to be a part of that please contact me. We will get you set up doing something you love to do. We have lots of needs all over the metropolis. If you'd rather work in the office we have that too. Just an hour or two in a day is all that's needed to put a smile in someone's heart. Come help us do that. Jhorton2@harborhospice.com is my email. We dedicate ourselves to providing excellent volunteer hospice services with ultimate respect for the decisions of those we serve. We honor dignity, comfort, and hope, and we strive to support each other in our work.
Harbor Hospice recognizes dying as part of the normal process of life and focuses on enhancing the quality of life for each of our patients and their families. We believe that through appropriate care and the promotion of sensitivity to the needs of the patients and families, we can physically, mentally, and spiritually prepare for death in a way that is satisfactory to our patients.
