Join Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity for a build day in your local community!

We're currently building both a single-family home and a duplex at 1891 North Avenue in Burlington. We're out there every Monday-Friday (and every other Saturday) from 8am-3pm, and we ask volunteers to stay the whole day, if possible. No previous construction experience is necessary, and all training and tools are provided! So grab a lunch, maybe grab a friend, and join us on-site for a day of building homes, community and hope.

Build days can be booked online at volunteerup.com/ProjectCal.asp?o=309
Details like where to park, what to wear, what to bring, etc. are provided upon registration. If you have unanswered questions after reading through the material, let us know! We can be reached at volunteer@vermonthabitat.org.

*Volunteers at our North Avenue site are required to be fully vaccinated or to wear a mask when they're with us.

About Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity

Location:

528 Essex Road, WILLISTON, VT 05495, US

Mission Statement

At Habitat for Humanity, we build. We build because we believe that everyone, everywhere, should have a healthy, affordable place to call home. More than building homes, we build communities, we build hope and we build the opportunity for families to help themselves.

Description

Green Mountain Habitat has built 80 homes for families in Chittenden County since 1984. In partnership with Franklin-Grand Isle Habitat, our chapters serve the entire northwest corner of Vermont from the Canadian border in the North, to the Mount Mansfield valley in the East, to the Lake Champlain Islands to the West.

The Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a home improvement store and donation center that sells new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Proceeds are used to help build strength, stability, self-reliance and shelter in our local community.
