Come and join us at New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity! We are busy helping eradicate substandard housing in the community. We do that through building new homes, rehabbing older homes and doing home repairs. Our ReStore further provides the opportunity for decent housing by providing low cost home goods to the community. ReStore Opportunity: You will have a fun and rewarding time while volunteering at the Habitat ReStore! Your time and talents help the NOAHH ReStores raise money for home-building projects that benefit hard-working families in the community. The NOAHH ReStores offer a multitude of volunteer opportunities to suit your interests and skills, whether you like upcycling, tinkering with furniture, or just chatting with our great customers. New Orleans' citizens are faced with many issues which affect their quality of life. The question of safe, affordable housing may be the most pressing.Habitat helps to build homes for low- to-moderate income partners in need of secure, quality housing at an affordable price. We help families break out of the cycle of low-quality properties with high rent payments and into the world of reasonable payments toward home ownership.
NOAHH has many opportunities for volunteers to get invovled! We have new construction and home repair projects, as well as volunteer projects in our ReStore, and in the Habitat Urban Gardens (HUGs).
