If you feel like you need to do something, but you are not sure what what looks like, we have a place for you.
Volunteering for Bridge Hospice can be in several different ways.
Volunteer in the office and assist the chaplain with bereavement cards, and birthday cards.
Make calls to caregivers of patients and do wellness checks . Make a difference with your encouraging words.
Write cards or letters of encouragement to patients, caregivers, or family members.
At this point, we have limited visiting of patients (with full protective PPE-gowns, gloves, masks), but they still need engagement i their lives with via a phone call, or even via zoom.
We aim to make our patients and their family members feel important for the rest of their lives.
We provide TB test for you free of charge.
Basic background check and drug testing since you are volunteering with patients.

Description
The Bridge Hospice team is trained to manage all symptoms especially related to end-stage illnessess, including pain, wound, and respiratory management, while attending to the patient's nutritional safety and concerns. With an interdisicplinary approach, Bridge Hospice's team cares for the patient as if they were part of our family with total respect for all physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
