Interested in helping the American Red Cross office from the comfort of your own home? Join us as a Virtual Receptionist!
In this role, you will be able to provide excellent customer service to anyone who contacts a local Red Cross office by phone or email. During your weekly shift, you will be able to remotely check each office inbox, returning calls and emails to clients. Full training provided - no experience required.
Volunteers must be comfortable with technology as this role will be using Microsoft Teams and Outlook. While customer service experience is not required, this role will be working directly with the public, and will need to communicate in a professional manner. Volunteers must be able to calmly and compassionately handle issues and talk with people who may be in distress.
Time commitment: One 3-hour shift/week. Shifts are available 9am-12pm and 2pm-5pm (PST), Monday-Saturday.
You would be provided with a Red Cross Microsoft Teams account to make free outgoing calls. If you do not have internet access and/or computer OR smartphone, Red Cross may be able to provide equipment.
