Two Rabbits supports indigenous communities in Cameroon to create homegrown preschool programs that honor their language and culture. We collaborate with local Cameroonian nonprofit ASTRADHE to run 20 community preschool centers in Baka communities.

Two Rabbits is seeking accounting and administrative support for our internal operations, and for our support to ASTRADHE, during this time.

Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing ASTRADHE monthly expense registers for accuracy and alignment with the approved budget
- Sending the final correct expense registers to Smarter Good, Two Rabbits' accounting service.
- Monitor Two Rabbits bank account balance
- Monitor expenses entered by Smarter Good, including payroll and vendor payments, through QuickBooks online
- Update expense forecast to reflect expenses and donations received to date

About CHASING TWO RABBITS AT ONCE

Location:

302 Oklahoma Ave NE, Unit 202, CAMBRIDGE, MA 02138, US

Mission Statement

Two Rabbits empowers the world's hardest to reach children to live in dignity, respect, and peace through culturally adapted preschool education that preserves and promotes their language and culture. We envision a world in which early learning reflects children’s own language and culture, where indigenous and other marginalized children become leaders and advocates for their communities’ rights and interests, and where poverty, discrimination, and ethnicity are no obstacle to education and cultural pride.

Description

Two Rabbits disrupts current models by addressing the root of poverty and oppression, and placing the child at the center of our work. Engaging with local partners to ensure that content, pedagogy, and implementation design deeply reflect community norms, we combine research-based best practices in early childhood education with local culture and values to create a culturally adapted curriculum in mother tongue, delivering literacy, math, play, and socioemotional development to children most in need.
