If you are a gay male, and New Age teaching, natural health, abstract art, and disco music speaks to your heart, and you’re looking for a virtual volunteer opportunity, consider volunteering to connect with an older isolated adult - via telephone - who shares these same interests!

Social Call, a program of Covia, connects volunteers with older adults across the nation who have reached out to us in need of a social connection. We match volunteers and older adults who have commonalities and shared interests for weekly phone visits.

Social Call volunteers:
- Are matched with an adult 60+ years of age for weekly 30 minute phone/video visits
- Receive training and ongoing support

Time Commitment:
- 30 min/week, 6 month minimum, plus a brief monthly report.

Qualifications:
- 18+ years of age
- Pass a free background check
- Submit two non-family references
- Participate in volunteer training via Zoom (approximately 90 minutes)
