Share's Outreach Team serves those who are hardest to reach by going into the community and bringing services to them. Many of our clients struggle in accessing services due to mobility, physical and mental health concerns, or difficulty in being around large groups of people. Our Outreach Team works to bridge that gap so that everyone experiencing homelessness in Clark County has access to a variety of services that can better their situation.

We serve all of Clark County, spending most of our time in Vancouver. We have a client-centered approach, meaning we are open to assisting individuals in whatever goals they have for themselves.

Volunteers support the mission of Share's Outreach Team by packing and preparing supplies for distribution!

Dates: The 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Supply packing days may include:

- Food Kit Packing
- Personal Hygiene Care Kit Packing
- Period Kit Packing
- Harm Reduction Kit Packing

Mission Statement

Share believes every person counts. Together we pursue a stronger community by building relationships, advocating for equitable access to housing and food stability while empowering every individual to grow and thrive.

Description

Through the caring and compassionate spirit of our volunteers, Share provides assistance to more than 10,000 people in Clark County each year. Annually, 2,600+ dedicated volunteers donate 26,650+ hours of time to supporting Share’s mission. We could not do all of what we do without our Volunteer Team - this team is a part of who we are and what we do.

Share was founded in 1979 by a group of volunteers whose compassion inspired them to take action to create this organization and help those in need in Clark County. Over the years, Share’s programs have expanded to meet the needs of a growing community. As our services have increased, so has our need for assistance from volunteers like you!

Volunteers assist at Share in a variety of ways: preparing and serving meals at the hot meals program at Share House, filling backpacks of food for distribution throughout the school year, organizing the warehouse, data entry, helping with our holiday cheer program, volunteering at our fundraising events, preparing meals for our family shelter guests, hosting children’s activities, putting together Easter baskets and backpacks with school supplies, and much, much more.
