About Foodbank of Southern California
Location:

Mission Statement
Serving Long Beach and Los Angeles County, The Foodbank provides healthy, nutritious food to the community’s hungry residents to ensure that no individual goes hungry, not even for a single day. As long as there are hungry children, families and seniors in our community, The Foodbank of Southern California intends to be to major force in the fight against hunger.
Description
The Foodbank provides nearly a million pounds a week of nutritious food to our nonprofit partner agencies. These community-based organizations address hunger through both emergency and non-emergency food programs such as shelters for abused children and women, crises centers, community centers, day care centers for children and seniors, senior centers, emergency box programs, soup kitchens, and food pantries. The Foodbank works in partnership with each agency to learn about the dietary needs, cultural protocols and acclimation issues of those they serve.
