The OUT Foundation is seeking a Board Chapter President for Portland, Maine.
Mission
Our mission is to remove the barriers that block LGBTQ+ individuals’ access and participation in health, wellness, and fitness to ensure their success. Since 2011, we’ve created fitness events and workouts that have engaged thousands and impacted thousands more.
Job Description
The board president presides over all meetings of the chapter board. They work in concert with the Executive Director to execute an Annual Chapter Operational Plan which aligns with The OUT Foundation’s Strategic Plan. The president reviews the chapter’s financial dashboard with the chapter’s treasurer and Executive Director on a monthly and quarterly basis prior to board meetings and presents the relevant financial highlights at board meetings. The president attends the annual Summit. As the ranking volunteer leader in the chapter, the board president promotes a common understanding of the mission and strategies of the Foundation. The president works with the Executive Director to build a sense of trust and teamwork among leadership volunteers and works to focus the chapter on priority strategies and activities.
