Position title: Building Cleaner

Position type: Volunteer

Department: Building and Maintenance

Reports to: Men’s Center Director

Basic Function of position: Ensures that the 4,000 square foot Men’s Center building remains in a clean and orderly condition. Performs cleaning duties such as: cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, sweeping, vacuuming, and wiping down surfaces.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Dusting and cleaning surface areas including counters and desks
• Performs general vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping of all floors
• Disposing of trash from bins and containers
• Scrubbing sinks and toilets
• Cleaning interior glass windows and mirrors
• Reports needed repairs and concerns to Men’s Center Director

Available Serving Hours:

• Anytime Thursday, Friday, or Saturday

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality related to client, volunteer and staff information
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions
• Reliable and punctual
• Attention to detail when cleaning
• Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk while performing duties.
