Did you know that American Red Cross volunteers respond to over 60,000 disasters every year? From offering a shoulder to cry on, to meeting any immediate needs for shelter or supplies, to connecting people with long term recovery services, our volunteers ensure that families don’t have to face tough times alone.
We need you!
As a Disaster Responder you will start by getting trained as a Shelter worker and from there you can learn about a whole new world of Disaster Response. No experience necessary!
Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a shelter for at least 7 consecutive days (shifts ~12hours)
- Age: 18+ years
- Volunteers need to serve the community in-person before, during, or after a disaster in the current environment.
