Social Media Volunteer

As a nonprofit community hub, we supply nonprofit organizations with the

products and services they need to serve their communities and keep operations running. Use your marketing and advertising expertise to spread the word and grow our reach.

For this volunteer opportunity, we’re seeking someone with a strong knowledge, understanding, and love of the social media space. Volunteers must be self-motivated and work well within a casual, fun team environment. If you have a keen eye for design and an understanding of how to create posts that stand out, you’ll be a great fit. We ask that you are willing to spend some time each week actively building our following by reaching out and interacting with our audience.

This position will analyze data related to audience, website traffic, and other areas enabling better decision making. The purpose is to increase our audience engagement, number of followers on our primary accounts, and attract donors and supporters to our website.

You will work closely with key team members and marketing management to establish effective strategy and assess key performance metrics and evaluate effectiveness. You will also get to be involved in the decision making process.

Position Responsibilities

• To elevate the effectiveness of social media and marketing programs.
• Grow our number of followers
• Interpret data, identify trends.
• Establish and utilize dashboards (hootsuite, asana, canva, etc.)
• Research effective social media campaigns, tactics and digital trends to support higher-level social media strategy
• Interact with our social media audience
• Assist with social media paid promotions where applicable.
