Gallery volunteers at the Kemerer Museum keep a watchful eye over the exhibits and answer visitor questions as they arise. Gallery volunteers will receive appropriate training to be knowledgeable about the museum and to guide visitors through the changing exhibition space.
Due to COVID, we are selling timed tickets and limiting the amount of visitors within the museum. We also ask all visitors and staff wear masks within the museum.
Time Commitment: At least two shifts per month. Shifts are 3-4 hours long. Long-term commitment of at least six months.

See history come to life at vibrant Colonial Industrial Quarter with blacksmiths-at-work, bucolic Burnside Plantation with award-winning gardens and farmhouse, peaceful Moravian Museum, imaginative Kemerer Museum with intricate decorative arts and dollhouses, and cheery Welcome Center and Goundie House on Main Street. We are a Smithsonian Affiliate and invite you to join us in preserving our unique local history!
