Do you have a passion for the arts? If so, this is the opportunity for you!

Tour guides at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts lead guests through the museum while presenting a lively and educational narrative about the changing styles of the decorative arts over more than three centuries. Tour guides answer visitor questions and help guests to step back in time as they learn about the antiques, textiles, and other decorative artworks of days gone by. Guides should be comfortable talking to visitors of all ages and will receive training to provide a high-quality tour experience.

Time Commitment: At least two shifts per month. Shifts are 3-4 hours long. Long-term commitment of at least six months.

See history come to life at vibrant Colonial Industrial Quarter with blacksmiths-at-work, bucolic Burnside Plantation with award-winning gardens and farmhouse, peaceful Moravian Museum, imaginative Kemerer Museum with intricate decorative arts and dollhouses, and cheery Welcome Center and Goundie House on Main Street. We are a Smithsonian Affiliate and invite you to join us in preserving our unique local history!
