Are you looking to gain experience working in an office, developing social skills, working as part of a team? Maybe you're a recreation major or would like to know what a volunteer manager does as you are looking at career choices?

Collier County Parks and Recreation has more than 400 volunteers in our system. The volunteer coordinator is looking for an assistant who is willing to learn about our program and interact with our staff and volunteers to assist with the operations of the volunteer program.

Ideal candidate would be available at least 1 day a week for at least 4 hours. Willingness to learn new software, assist with data entry, work with volunteers, and learn more about Collier County Government is required.

Skill sets that can be learned or further developed through this opportunity are:

• Communication skills - verbal and written
• Time management
• Social media for recruitment
• Basic graphic design
• Data Compilation and Analysis
• Volunteer Management, Engagement & Appreciation

Completion of a volunteer application is required. All volunteers are required to be background screened (at no cost to you) and all hours are required to be tracked and documented in our volunteer management software.

This is a great opportunity to learn about Collier County Parks and Recreation, how our local government works, collaborate with our staff, volunteers and other agencies in Collier County.
