Description

TWRTS was birthed out of a need for immediate transportation and supplies after Hurricane Michael struck the Florida panhandle in October of 2018. Our CEO and Founder, Shelli Conaway, was in Houston with a shipment headed to Florida. She saw the out-cry for supplies and had spare room on her trailer, so she purchased as many cases of water as she could and made contact with a rescue group in need and met them off the side of the Interstate to hand off supplies.

This gave her the idea to start a social media group to try to pair needs with drivers wanting to help, and it has grown from there. We work hand in hand with small business carriers and companies like Fed Ex and UPS to ensure deliveries get where they need to be. As active Over-the -Road drivers, we run the Organization from the road. So, this truly is a labor of love for us all.

Trucks With Room to Spare Inc (TWRTS) is a IRS recognized 501 (c)3 Organization that provides transportation, supplies and support to communities and families in need during times of disaster and hardship. We work with local and regional groups and Organizations to provide services when and where needed.

TWRTS is an organization comprised of Regional and Over-the-Road Truck Drivers. We understand the importance of having needed supplies in place quickly, and we do not have to wait for orders to deploy, we have supplies and coordinate with people on the ground to determine needs and locations when disaster strikes.
