TIHAN’s Social Media Coordinator utilizes their internet research knowledge and creativity to help us enhance TIHAN’s presence on social media. This volunteer assists with a variety of projects related to TIHAN’s social media accounts. This position is a great opportunity for those involved in or planning a career in social media marketing, advertising, or related fields. The Social Media Coordinator will research HIV/AIDS articles and related HIV news updates, and draft posts to the TIHAN Facebook account. Additionally, this volunteer will assist with managing TIHAN’s social media accounts.

Specific Tasks:

• Research articles, conduct internet research, and draft posts for social media (including Facebook, and possibly other social media platforms).
• Foster social media engagement with users interacting with TIHAN via social media accounts.
• Create and follow a social media plan to ensure regular posts about a variety of topics, as well as enlist stakeholders in sharing the posts to ensure broader reach.
• Invite those who engage with TIHAN’s social media posts to "like/follow" TIHAN’s page.
• Monitor public comments on TIHAN’s social media posts, and remove/report as needed, as well as monitoring private messages to TIHAN and communicating those.
