Jewish Family Service of the Desert (JFS) is a nonprofit, non-sectarian social service agency serving the residents of the Coachella Valley.
JFS' client volume has been significantly increased due to the impact of the pandemic on the residents of the Valley.
JFS is searching for (3) detail-oriented, volunteers who have some experience in the area of billing (or interested in being trained) to share their time assisting the Billing Manager with reports, processing some claims, and preparing self-pay invoices.
The positions are open immediately.
The JFS on-boarding process consists of the completion of a Volunteer Application, followed by a background check (after the Director of Community Outreach contacts the applicant's references), orientation and training.
During the pandemic, most Billing Assistant work can be completed remotely (with the exception of the training time).
