Ducks and ducklings get rescued all over Florida. Oftentimes, the folks who find them are willing to take them to the nearest foster parent. There are times, though, when the ducklings need to be caught and/or transported to a foster parent. If you’d like to learn more about this position, please go to muscovysanctury.org/duckling-rescue-transport/ and complete the application.

Mission Statement
We are a team of volunteers who rescue, transport, foster, and care for injured and abandoned Muscovy ducks and ducklings. Once we have the ducks checked for injury and illness, we move them on to the sanctuary, where they live out the rest of their lives.
Description
The Situation
You found three cute, little Muscovy ducklings wandering around on the sidewalk peeping their little heads off. They lost their mom, and you can’t find her anywhere.
Obviously, you can’t leave them out there all alone, so you scoop them up and put them in a box with a towel in the bottom and keep them warm. Now, what do you do? You can’t keep them; you aren’t equipped to raise three ducks. You find out about a veterinarian in the area who will take the ducklings. Problem solved.
Unfortunately, taking them to a vet would result in their euthanasia; rehabbers don't deal with them because they aren't indigenous, and leaving them would cause them to likely die.
Enter the Muscovy Sanctuary of Florida, a place where Muscovy ducklings can safely grow and thrive without the fear of being killed. We are a non-profit organization created to take in those Muscovy ducklings that veterinarians and wildlife rehabbers don’t want.
