StableStrides (formerly Pikes Peak Therapeutic Riding Center) has been providing equine assisted therapy to the community since 1981! We are a premier accredited program through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International, ensuring safety and quality services. StableStrides is currently seeking volunteers to assist in our office at the Latigo Equestrian Complex near Black Forest.
All volunteers 16 years and older are welcome.
Our office is open 9:00-5:00 Monday - Friday, so hopefully we can find something that fits your schedule! We ask that volunteers participating in the office try and commit to the same 2-4 hour shift(s) every week for at least 2 months.
Equine assisted activities and therapies is a unique approach to achieve health and wellness goals. Physical, Occupational, Speech, and Mental Health Therapists partner with horses to assist their clients in their specific area of need.
