MMCC is in need of a Technology Instructor, to provide helpful basic computer skills/assistance to help our Seniors improve their technology skills. This is an employment opportunity with MMCC. Must live in NYC area, as the role will transition to in-person in the fall and classes will increase to 4x a week. Please email your resume if interested.

Responsibilities:

• Teach and assist participants how to use selected smartphones applications

• Teach and assist participants how to use online applications

• Foster an optimistic environment of kindness, community, mutual respect, and effective communication with all participants

Qualifications:

• Must be dependable and punctual
• Technologically proficient and knowledgeable of various computer and cellular applications
• A sense of humor is encouraged
• 18+ must have flexibility in schedule, a degree/certificate in Tech is a huge plus
• Experience in group instruction or teaching preferred
• Ability to relate well to people and enjoy engaging with them
• A friendly and approachable manner with an ability to encourage and motivate
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience is an absolute must, as you will be teaching the same thing over & over

Day & Time Commitment:

• Tuesday's 12 :30am - 1:30pm | Thursday's 1:30pm - 2:30 pm
