Interested in supporting our refugee staff? MRC is starting our next session and we need ESL teachers!

This opportunity is IN-PERSON at our farm in Elgin. You would be teaching English to our farmers

Time Commitment: The total volunteer time is 2 days a week, for an average of about 5 hours per week. 12-week minimum commitment. Lesson planning and attending workshops/meetings are also expected.

Please choose TWO of the following time slots that work for you:

  • Wednesdays from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • Thursdays 12:30 pm-1:30pm
  • Fridays from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.

Our enterprises are built at the intersection of the traditional, respected skills of sewing and farming that refugees bring and a growing market for local food & textile production.
