Position Description for Interpreters

Under the supervision of the Founder/Executive Director and/or office manager or other staff members, provide interpretation during interviews, listening to voicemails, or simply helping a student/family from another country. All interpretations will be conducted under the supervision of New Heights Educational Group (NHEG) staff or at the NHEG office/online using Zoom and implementing Google Drive for file storage, or other locations designated and agreed upon by all parties.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Fluent in at least two languages
  • Responsible, dependable, honest, and mature
  • A smart phone or computer with high-speed internet
  • Quiet Surroundings
  • Friendly, patient, and sensitive to a diversity of students and volunteer applicants
  • Background check (if interested in working with students under 18)
● Resume and three references with email addresses (Letters from guidance counselor, teachers, principal etc. accepted for interpreters)
