The American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces department is adding an Onboarding Lead volunteer opportunity! The Lead welcomes new volunteers, conducts department interviews, and connects volunteers to training. They monitor the volunteer’s progress towards onboard/training completion and provides support/assistance as needed.
Location : Virtual- work from the comfort of your home!
- Need to have reliable internet service and phone coverage.
Volunteer Responsibilities :
- The Onboarding Lead ensures that new volunteers understand the scope and duties of their position.
- Provides an introduction on how SAF supports the Red Cross mission and ensures access to required training for position.
- Ensures volunteer satisfaction with tasks, supplies access to resources to be successful and provides timely feedback to questions or troubleshooting.
- Provides oversight to ensure all new volunteer applicants are placed in an activity for engagement.
- Monitors the completion of assigned training and provides additional support.
- Provides additional support to supervisor as needed.
Time commitment: approximately 5 hours a week after initial training.
