NEWBY-GINNINGS OF NORTH IDAHO

Image_202104231014

Newby-Ginnings serves the Spokane-CDA area's Veterans, Active Military, and Gold Star Families by providing essential household items, and basic necessities free of charge! There are no income eligibility requirements and they do not have to prove need. All this is needed is proof of military service, past or present, for the Veteran and or an associated family member.

One hundred percent of proceeds from donations of new and gently used items help fund our mission.

Our shop is run entirely by VOLUNTEERS! They are the heart, soul and muscles of our organization. We just couldn't do what we do without them!

Our shop depends on enthusiastic volunteers for everything from bringing in donated items and helping our warehouse team process them to go onto the floor, to helping our Veterans and arranging merchandise. Whether volunteers prefer interacting with the public or working behind the scenes, we have a space for everyone!

How can I help? You can sign up to volunteer by contacting Brandi at 208-610-6996. You can also arrange groups or your business to come volunteer by contacting Theresa or Brandi at the same number list above. You can also always stop by our shop during business hours. The Store is open Mon-Wed, from: 10:00 am -4:30 pm.

You can volunteer each day all day, or even just a few hours at a time.

We hold New Volunteer Orientation the 4th Tuesday of every month at 5:30 pm at Newby-ginnings. The orientation lasts about 30-45 minutes and includes the history of Newby-ginnings, a tour of the shop, completion of paperwork and a description of the different volunteer duties. We would love to see you there!
