We already know you're snapping pictures of every cat and dog you see-why not use those skills for science? This summer, we're conducting an outdoor cat survey with Kitizen Science. A census of the outdoor cat population, if you will. This is to better understand the size of the outdoor cat population in addition to creating a metric to measure the success of TNR programs.
June 13th-June 30th, we're looking for volunteers to help with the outdoor cat survey being conducted by Kitizen Science! Working in pairs (sign up with a friend!), volunteers will follow assigned routes in neighborhoods in the Humboldt Park and Austin neighborhoods from 5:30-8 pm. Your only task? To take photos of any and every outdoor cat you see and upload them using the Kitizen Science app.
