Description
Khairi and Little Angels' Memorial (KLA Memorial) mission is to assist, educate and provide awareness on infant and maternal awareness within underserved communities and among disadvantaged populations by providing preconception, prenatal, postnatal resources, emotional and mental health support to the community and families who have experienced the loss of an infant from 20 weeks gestational to 12 months of age.
Our founder created KLA Memorial nonprofit organization in 2014 after her son, baby Khairi passed away. After living through such a devastating and traumatizing experience. Our founder experienced firsthand what a mother goes through with the loss of a child and the infant's burial cost. She found that it wasn't easy, and she didn't expect it to be, but that she endured left her looking for ways to make life better. Our founder wanted to help other mothers who may have experienced this know they were not alone.
In 2017 KLA Memorial buried their first baby and had laid five more babies to rest since then. Also, in 2017 the organization created support for women and their families to attend and obtain the necessary resources for their grief and mental health if needed.
