Celestial Manna is a faith-based 501(c)(3) food recovery nonprofit. We are a volunteer-based organization and our mission is to solve food insecurity and help our neighbors in need.

We have been growing our Operations and Communications teams to support the ever expanding needs of surrounding communities. We have an opening on our Leadership Team for an Executive Administrative Assistant, reporting to the Board President and Chief Operating Officer.
Duties will include:

  1. Calendar management and meeting coordination
  2. Email and voicemail account management
  3. Prioritizing communication and requests
  4. Note taking and filing at weekly leadership meetings
  5. Filing of Board Of Directors minutes and reports
  6. Follow up on action items as needed
Time Commitment: minimum of 5-10 hours a week
Skills:
  • Microsoft office suite
  • Google suite
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Celestial Manna feeds the hungry by providing them with free food that is locally donated. We give monthly support to more than 20,000 people in the Washington, DC metropolitan region stretching from north of Baltimore through Prince George's and Montgomery Counties Maryland, and south to northern Virginia.

Description

Celestial Manna tries to help people from all walks of life; these individuals range from blue-collar workers, low-income families, single-parent households and diverse ethnicities. Hunger is not the only challenge these people face. In addition to a network of food redistribution, Celestial Manna provides support to people in need of clothing.
