Mission Statement

Healing Hoofbeats of CT seeks to help individuals feel more empowered and secure in their lives through building healthy and mutually beneficial relationships with horses. It is our belief that through learning how to build and maintain these relationships we begin to heal from past experiences, learn how to navigate difficult situations and feel more at peace in our lives.

Description

Healing Hoofbeats began in July 2016 as a small practice providing equine assisted psychotherapy at local established horse farms. Renee quickly saw the need for this model of therapy as well as its effectiveness and had the goal of helping this grow to help the community. In 2019 we transitioned to a nonprofit organization and have grown! We currently have a main location in Bethlehem, CT and a satellite location in North Franklin, CT and see clients of all ages and mental health diagnoses. We provide therapeutic groups imbedded in nature and with animals, animal and equine assisted psychotherapy for individuals and families, and many other community oriented programs. Recently, we purchased our own property in Bethlehem and cannot wait to expand our programming and offerings for our community!
