ORGANIZATION: Vitality Hospice and Palliative Care

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

At Vitality Hospice and Palliative Care, we strive to bring joy and life into the lives of those with advanced illness. Our mission is to improve symptom burden and quality of life of patients and caregivers through evidence based interventions, superior service and therapeutic support. As a volunteer with our organization you would be an integral part of our team, and build unforgettable relationships with patients and caregivers.

Pet therapy offers many benefits, not only to patients, but their loved ones too. Studies have shown that the act of petting an animal can reduce anxiety, lower blood pressure and heart rate, ease depression, and sometimes it helps patients recall the positive connections they once shared.

Pet Therapy Volunteers visit their assigned patients and provide extensive emotional support to our patients. We are in need of your help and look forward to welcoming you to our hospice family.

Requirements for the Pet Therapy program includes a copy of current certification by a reputable pet therapy program and current vaccination records.
