ORGANIZATION: Comunidades Latinas Unidas en Servicio (CLUES)

Teach the basics of bank compliance regulations, money handling, and other essential financial sector skills! Additionally, help students gain resume writing and interview skills while building a professional network!

Schedule: Classes will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am-12pm or 6pm-8pm for 4 weeks, they will be held virtually over Zoom. We will hold 4 classes throughout 2021:

Class 1: March 9 - April 1

Class 2: May 11 - June 3

Class 3: July 13 - Aug 5

Class 4: Oct 12 - Nov 4

Responsibilities: The program will be virtual, so interested candidates will need access to a computer, Wi-Fi, and Zoom to join sessions. The volunteer teacher will be in charge of leading the virtual sessions. Curriculum and digital materials will be provided.

Qualifications: Teachers should be comfortable working with students from various backgrounds. Experience with banking, finance, or customer service is preferred. Teaching experience also preferred but not required. Spanish-speaking abilities a plus.

CLUES is Minnesota’s largest Latino-led nonprofit organization, founded in 1981. Today it serves over 10,000 Latinos, immigrants, and neighborhood-based clients throughout the Twin Cities area. With offices in Minneapolis and Saint Paul, its current mission is to "Improve the quality of life of Latinos in Minnesota". CLUES’ family-centric model of delivery focuses on empowering clients to live healthy lives and become economically self-sufficient. We realize our mission by eliminating barriers and providing access to resources and opportunities for clients through education, skill-building, training, and delivering behavioral health programs that lead to self-sufficiency and prosperity.
