We are a non-profit organization building an infrastructure to develop, manufacture, distribute, and operate remote-controlled ventilators and oxygen concentrators that will also gather high-resolution treatment data for scientific research and treatment optimization.

Status report:
We have planned the basic framework for our network infrastructure but now need some help to put it into practice. We have set up an MQTT Broker to handle messages between medical devices and user interfaces and started setting up an FHIR medical database but we need to finalize some proof of concepts and ensure scalability and reliability.

Description:
As an Azure Engineer, you will work under the supervision and report to our Infrastructure manager and Product owner together with a small team of other volunteers. You will be able to ask questions, discuss ideas and get help when needed but a certain level of proactivity and self management are a requirement.

Tasks:
Designing, coding, testing, and deploying web applications and RESTful APIs in Azure

Training and/or experience required:
- Be able to build proof of concepts in the Azure environment
- Work with Azure PaaS services and Azure Storage
- Familiarity with Azure Active Directory
- Coding experience with C# and/or Javascript/TypeScript
- Knowledgeable in digital certificates - both client and server
- Self-starter and be able to function with minimal help & supervision

Mission Statement

Our mission is to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the world's medical workforce fighting COVID-19

Description

Every Year 4.2 million children under 5 are desperate for oxygen. 800,000 mothers lose their child every year because of Pneumonia, a lung disease often requiring oxygen. This toll is higher than for any other disease in the world. What hospitals in the US and Europe consider one of the most essential treatments is not available for many. The problem, oxygen concentrators keep breaking down in the high humidity, temperature and dust environments, burn through during energy spikes when the power comes back online after one of the many outages or simply breaks and nobody knows how to repair it.

We have set out to change this and develop an oxygen concentrator that will make public health investments much more effective. Our first calculations suggest that we could lower the cost of a child's life by as much as two-thirds. Due to our organization working with volunteers we can reduce the development cost but bringing a medical device to market is hard work and we expect that you meet the requirements and are responsive and transparent with your skills and availability. If our mission sounds important and exciting to you, learn more about us on www.ardenmed.com and apply for one of our open positions through our platform! http://jira.ardenmed.com/plugins/servlet/loginfreeRedirMain?portalid=16&request=136
